EIM offers a programme to prepare for exams in order to enhance student mobility in France and abroad.
You can therefore validate your progress and command of the French language by taking the TCF, DELF or DALF exams.
Exams & Diplomas
These official diplomas are delivered by the French National Ministry of Education through the CIEP (International Centre for Education and Pedagogy) in order to validate French language skills of non-native speakers.
TCF: Test de Connaissance du Français (Knowledge of the French language). This exam allows the French language proficiency of a student to be assessed at any given time. It uses the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment) whose six levels are comprised in between A1-A2 (beginner), B1-B2 (intermediate) and C1-C2 (advanced). This exam is based upon skills in oral and written comprehension as well as written proficiency.
DELF: Diplôme d'Etude en Langue Française (Diploma of French Language Studies). This lifelong validity diploma certifies proficiency for levels A1 to B2.
DALF : Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française (Advanced Diploma of French Language Studies). This lifelong validity diploma certifies proficiency for levels C1 to C2.
The DELF and DALF exams require proficiency in the following four areas: oral comprehension, oral expression, written comprehension and written expression.
EIM also offers preparation courses for the TOEIC and TOEFL English exams. Please contact us for further information regarding English preparatory courses and study programmes
To further your learning after one of our academic preparatory and study programmes, EIM offers preparation modules for specific exams.
Our 15-hour per week modules, which may be repeated once or twice depending on the candidate's level of proficiency, lead to taking an exam of your choice (TCF, DELF, DALF, TOEIC, TEOFL) at one of our partner institutions.
Oral expression exercises (emphasising word accentuation, syllable isolation and proper pronunciation)
Oral comprehension (auditive habituation and discipline through the use of audio and video media)
Written expression (writing, improving syntax, using adequate grammatical formats)
Written comprehension (reading and summarising documents, elaborating structured commentaries, using multiple-choice tests)
The whole EIM team is dedicated to defining the studies programme suited to your personal ambitions to ensure your professional and academic international mobility.
